“I’m almost never serious, and I’m always too serious. Too deep, too shallow. Too sensitive, too cold-hearted. I’m like a collection of paradoxes.”Ferdinand de Saussure (via wodley)
today I saw a preteen girl pick up Mean Girls at Target and ask her friend what it was. She didn’t even know. She said it sounded dumb. The people are forgetting. The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.
when privileged groups want rights, safety, and respect, it’s called “basic human decency”
when oppressed groups want rights, safety, and respect, it’s called “social justice”
“Social justice warriors” my ass, people here have so much humanity and compassion and it gives me faith and keeps me motivated to keep fighting for the things I’m passionate about. Shit can be rough sometimes but I’m sure of what I believe it and when people try and take that away from me it really is this online community that reminds me of what’s important.
Tumblr users are…
- 50% more likely to go to a political rally
- 2.2 times more likely to advise others on current events and politics

Macklemore’s gonna respond tomorrow or tonight I bet.
Ok drake you’ve earned my respect
Yeeeees!!! I love drake
yaaaass drake…let them know!
Sheesh! This actually HAPPENED!?!?
Drake’s whole stint as ESPYs host was full of really poignant, hard jokes that I loved. I was surprised, actually, and really enjoyed it. Too bad for a lot of them, the room almost went silent.
"Richard Sherman made white folks more mad than a crowded Whole Foods parking lot"
"There’s no room for racism in the NFL, unless you’re a team from Washington, DC."
His sketch with Blake Griffin had me howling. The only part I really didn’t like was them calling Chris Brown “America’s Sweetheart”. Like, really? We really just gonna forget? Oh okay.
like no sorry I don’t know a single cis man who lives in fear that female strangers are going to stalk him
or feel entitled to touch his body in public
or follow him home
or catcall him
or take his headphones out on the bus or train to hit on him
or ask for his…
